Butter has been at the heart of Dairygold’s business since the inception of the co-op over 100 years ago. Back then, butter buyers and sellers from around the world gathered together at the Cork Butter Exchange to trade Irish butter.

Product Description

Today, our farmers continue to utilise the outdoor grazing system for milk production, with grass forming the predominant part of the cow’s diet. This sustainable, natural production process has additional benefits, particularly when it comes to our butter, which has a soft, spreadable texture.

Irish butter is famous for its rich yellow colour, creamy texture and superb taste. An increasing number of studies are also demonstrating that grass fed butter not only spreads and tastes better, but it is also better for you, with higher levels of conjugated linoleic acids (CLAs), Vitamin A , Beta carotene and Omega 3.
