    Product Release Manager, Food Ingredients Division, Mallow, Co Cork, Ireland

    Reporting to the QA Manager, the Product Release Manager is responsible for release and certification of all finished product at the Mallow site, in accordance with regulatory, customer and QMS requirements. The Product Release Manager is a key support role to the site QA Manager and is recognised as a key player within the site team. The key role of the Product Release Manager is to release finished product to defined schedules and establish and maintain the status of finished product on the Oracle – ERP system.

     

    Core responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:

    • Ensure Finished Product sku’s are tested as per defined test plans;
    • Release Finished Product as per regulatory, customer and QMS requirements;
    • Maintain status of stock on Oracle system to reflect its quality and suitable;
    • Certification of finished product to accompany shipments in a timely manner;
    • Data trending and reporting as required for decision making;
    • Input on decision making re. process capability for specification sign off. 

    Candidates for this position must possess:

    Reporting to the QA Manager, the QA Officer is responsible for generating certification for finished product manufactured at the Mallow site, QC data transmission to key customers, co-ordination of relevant certification & documentation associated with incoming materials, in accordance with customer and QMS requirements. The QA Officer is a key support role to the site QA Manager and is recognised as a key player within the site team. The key role of the QA Officer is to certify finished product, transmit QC data electronically and meet defined customer related KPI’s.

     

    Core responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:

    • Generate COA’s ( Certificates of Analysis) as per defined requirements for finished product shipments;
    • Transmit QC data, electronically, to defined customers;
    • Download and collation of QC data from ERP – Oracle System;
    • Organise additional test requirements with QC, where required;
    • Generation of reports, as relevant from OBIEE system including data trending.

    Reporting to the QA Manager, the QMS Officer is responsible for maintaining and managing defined core elements of the quality assurance program for the Mallow site, to ensure compliance with internal standards, regulatory standards and customer requirements. The QMS Officer is a key support role to the site QA Manager and is recognised as a key player within the site team. The key role of the Quality officer is to maintain and improve the QMS, monitor compliance and report on metrics to meet the requirements of FSSC 22000.

     

    Core responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:

    • Develop policies and procedures and risk assessments to meet the requirements of FSSC 22000, including HACCP and maintain in electronic format;
    • Develop and implement the internal audit schedule including maintaining audit reports and managing audit finding close out;
    • Document testing plans & SOP’s for the site;
    • In conjunction with site QA Manager – lead and facilitate customer and regulatory audits;
    • Coach management and operational staff on new standards, accreditation requirements and procedures;
    • Review data from environmental swab plan in relation to alignment of GMP and GMP policies as required.

  • Lab Technician (x3), Dairygold Food Ingredients, Mitchelstown, Co. Cork

    Dairygold Co-Operative Society Limited is now pleased to invite applications for the positions of Lab Technician (x3), in our Central Laboratory in Mitchelstown within the Dairy Food Ingredients Division.

    Reporting to the Lab Manager, the Laboratory Technician is responsible for the timely completion of testing samples ensuring accurate results are returned to the operations and quality functions to enable compliance with food safety, legal and customer requirements.

    Core responsibilities for this role include:

    • Carry out chemical/ microbiological analysis as per relevant plans for In Process samples.
    • Take In-Process samples when required.
    • Attend Weekly VM meetings.
    • Chair weekly VM meetings as required.
    • Participate in Continual Quality Improvement and problem solving resolution.

Reporting to the Technology Manager, this hands on technical role will require the candidate to maintain our ERP systems and providing high quality customer service to the Dairygold business end users. It involves working collabarately with our Hosted ERP provider and ensuring the timely resolution of issues, problems and requests.     Key Responsibilities include:

    • Be part of the support team and responsible for performance and quality of our ERP systems and underlying infrastructure. Ensuring all issues and cases open with our 3rd party vendors are dealt with efficiently and promptly.
    • Tracking, control and escalation of ongoing technical and user support issues as part of IT team.
    • Manage the identification and resolution of problems from incident data.
    • Challenge existing policies and practices, offering an alternative solution.
    • Liasing with the Business around Oracle issues relating to data or code errors. Debugging the issue and management of the issue with oracle support where appropriate.
    • Manage the scheduling, development, testing and release of all ERP related technical bug fixes, patches and change requests.
    • Provide 2nd line Technical support for issues that arise within Dairygold as logged and assigned through the helpdesk system

    Key Competencies:

    • Honours degree in Business Information’s systems or relevant IT discipline – essential
    • 5 years experience in working in a IT, providing 2nd line support and database administration.
    • Previous experience dealing with SQL and Oracle databases, monitoring system resources and performance and taking corrective action is essential.
    • Experience in scripting and automating repeat database queries is essential.
    • Ability to validate and respond to database change requests that may arise form both within the business and from 3rd parties.
    • Experience in determining effort, prioritising and scheduling requests, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities is essential.
    • Experience with administration of Cloud Hosted environments, ensuring optimised configuration, extending and managing system resources allocation is essential.
    • Experience in developing, improving and implementing processes and procedures. Experience dealing and ensuring Service Level Agreements are agreed to.

    • Contracts Management:
      • Interface with business managers to gather information, documentation and key terms as required for contracts and contract renewals. Follow-up on outstanding issues to bring draft contracts to a conclusion.

    Dairygold Co-Operative Society Limited is now pleased to invite applications for the position of Milk Production Co-ordinator.

    Based in Mallow, the Milk Production Co-ordinator will report to the Site Lead to achieve site targets and meet and exceed customer expectations. He/She will co-ordinate and control all the day-to-day activities required to ensure the targets associated with the efficient operations of the production processes are met. This person will be a core part of the Mallow management team, liaising directly with both internal and external stakeholders on all associated aspects of the business.

    • Production Planning, Recruitment & Organisation of key resources to meet production targets and maximise outputs:

    Reporting to the Site Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Planner will focus on implementing an asset care program that is in line with the needs of the Castlefarm Site across two production processes Milk & Whey and all the associated facilities & utilities. He/She will play an integral role in driving the Society’s asset care strategy.

    • Providing advice on products with a continual view to maximising sales through upselling and cross selling.
    • Restocking of display areas on a regular basis to ensure customer availability at all times.
    • Ensuring maintenance of branch and displays, ensuring work station is free from hazards at all times.
    • Manage point of sale processes including register operations, including receiving and processing cash or credit or other payments.
    • Operate procedures for security of cash and merchandise in accordance with the policies and procedures set down by Co-Op Superstores.
    • Participate in regular stock taking including daily cycle counting and stock counts.
    • Ability to work across a range of departments.
    • Product coding, pricing and updating of prices on goods for re-sales.
    • Adherence to all Health & Safety procedures and reporting of any hazards to the Branch Manager.Candidates for this position should have:

  • Quality Assurance Lead, Food Ingredients Division, Mitchelstown, Cork, Ireland

    Dairygold Co-Operative Society Limited is now pleased to invite applications for the position of Quality Assurance Lead.

    Reporting to, the Head of Quality, the Quality Assurance Lead is responsible for driving and maintaining best practice standard for manufacturing. He/She will co-ordinate all the activities of the site QA team to meet customer requirements and QA compliance targets through communication & coaching of our internal customers.

    Core responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:

    ? Attend Stage Gate & Spec review meetings;
    ? Assign and complete investigations into customer complaints;
    ? Site point of contact for customer visits and audits (including internal audits);
    ? Quality performance on a daily, weekly and monthly basis at the relevant forums;
    ? Audit feedback, quality issues and quality developments (i.e. legislation changes );
    ? Measure close out of technical issues, NC?s, CAPAs, Supplier issues, Hygiene, Documentation;
    ? Maintain accreditation & liaise with DAFM on site quality issues;
    ? Ensure production planning is compliant with legislation, standards & customer requirements;
    ? Manage and continuously improve the entire QA Program for the site including sampling plans, policies, procedures, and specifications, focussing on robust solutions to issues raised;
    ? Develop and instil Food Safety behaviours across the site;
    ? Coach, develop, train and up skill employees in to enhance knowledge and understanding;
    ? Assign team members to relevant projects, PS, meetings.

    Candidates for this position must possess:

    ? Science Degree in a relevant discipline;
    ? 5-10 years? experience in a Food Manufacturing Environment;
    ? Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills;
    ? A Team player with the ability to influence others at all levels in the organisation;
    ? A coaching mindset to promote excellence of the best practice standard;
    ? Demonstrated ability to lead people and obtain results through team work, motivation and employee engagement;
