  • Retail Buyer, Retail Division, Mallow, Co. Cork

    The Society wishes to invite applications for the vacancy of Retail Buyer. The successful candidate will manage the strategic planning, negotiation and implementation of the purchasing plan for a developing range of products in Dairygold Retail. Product Categories the Buyer will be responsible for are Construction and/or Agri. The successful candidate will report into the Retail Head of Buying and will be based in West End, Mallow moving to new Agribusiness offices in Lombardstown Mill in 2019.

    The successful candidate will have:

    • A 3rd level qualification in a relevant discipline, Construction/Agri/Procurement/Business/Retail
    • An understanding of Retail buying and the underlying processes across the full remit of the role

  • QA Officer (x2), Dairygold Food Ingredients, Mitchelstown, Co. Cork

    The QA Officer is responsible for maintaining and managing defined core elements of the quality assurance program for the Castlefarm Milk Powders Production Facility, to ensure compliance with internal standards, food safety standards and customer requirements. The QA Officer is a key support role to the site QA Manager and is recognised as a key player within the site team. The key role of the Quality officer is to monitor compliance, report on metrics and improve the QMS system to meet the requirements of ISO 22000.

     

    These are the core responsibilities associated with your role for which you will be held accountable:

    1.Develop policies and procedures and risk assessments to meet the requirements of FSSC 22000, including HACCP and maintain in electronic format in paradigm system;

    2.Co-ordinate the site audit plan and report on the close out rate for non-conformances;

    3.Document sampling and testing plans for the site;

    4.In conjunction with site QA Manager – lead and facilitate customer and regulatory audits;

  • Occupational Health Nurse, Dairygold Co-Operative Society Ltd, Mitchelstown

    The Society wishes to invite applications for the vacancy of Occupational Health Nurse. This role is based in Mitchelstown and reports directly to the Group Head of Human Resources. The successful candidate will provide a comprehensive range of Occupational health services to Dairygold employees. This is a specialised professional role with a strong focus on promoting employee health and wellbeing. The successful candidate will work as part of the the HR team in the delivery of Occupational health services to employees.

    The role will include the following duties and responsibilities :

    • Coordination of Health Surveillance Programmes including pre employment medicals, health screening, risk assesments and vaccination clinics.

  • Whey Production Manager, Food Ingredients Division, Mitchelstown, Co. Cork

    Dairygold Co-Operative Society Limited is now pleased to invite applications for the position of Whey Production Manager Castlefarm.

    Reporting to the Site Manager, the Whey Production Manager will focus on delivering key strategic projects for the whey plant. In addition, he/she will be responsible for the operations of the whey plant to ensure it delivers operational excellence through the site SPCCQRE business model. He/she will lead the team of Production Co-ordinators and Shift Supervisors whilst adhering to the business core values and behaviours.

    2. Safety – Promote a safety culture within the site and set and monitor adherence to all Environmental, Health & Safety standards and procedures;

  • Project Engineer, Food Ingredients Division, Co.Cork, Ireland

    Dairygold Co-Operative Society Limited is now pleased to invite applications for the position of Project Engineer

    Reporting to the Head of Engineering, this newly created position will assume leading responsibility for driving high standard of efficiency across multiple projects using best practice project management techniques on capital investment and process improvement projects across Dairygold’s 4 key manufacturing sites, based in Mitchelstown, Mogeely and Mallow. The successful applicant will be required to work closely with the Site teams across the DFI business to deliver the identified targets. This person will be a core part of the engineering team, liaising directly with both internal and external parties on associated aspects of the business.

    Core responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:

    • Deliver projects within budget, schedule & specification while adhering to site safety rules and the required standard.
    • Effective management of payback analysis, scheduling & cost control.
    • Support Line managers and cross functional teams to identify key areas for improvement within their area.
    • Define and develop detailed project scopes through stakeholder meetings;
    • Co-ordinate all project activities including estimating, design, specification, sourcing, purchasing, construction and commissioning activities;

    Reporting to the Group EHS Manager the EHS Coordinator will be based in Castlefarm, Mitchelstown and will work closely with the operations team to drive a safe working culture for both employees and contractors across their areas of responsibility by promoting high standards and compliance with Safety and Environmental policies and procedures, maintaining site licences and legal requirements. He / She will be recognised as the key business driver for all health and safety issues across their areas of responsibility and will also play a key role in managing all environmental issues on site.

    Core responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:

    • Serve as the primary focal point for EHS Matters for the Society and act as point of contact for regulatory authorities;
    • Organize, schedule and complete EHS audits and track issues / actions arising;
    • Management and tracking to closure of all regulatory compliance actions;

  • Factory Planner, Food Ingredients Division, Cheshire, UK

    DFI UK are now actively recruiting for a Factory Planner.  With a £80m+ spend on raw materials and 400t of factory production capability, effective forecasting, planning and scheduling are paramount at DFI Crewe. With over 300 SKUS across 7 production lines, ensuring the right product is available and produced to meet customer expectations is essential.

    Reporting to the Planning Manager, as one of two Factory Planners working rotating shifts (6am-3pm / 1pm-10pm Monday to Friday) you will be responsible for preparing daily and weekly production schedules.  Working closely with all Operational departments you will keep abreast of orders and amends, raw material availability, production progress and transport to ultimately deliver on time in full to our valued customers.

    Key activities will include:

    • Prepare daily and weekly production schedules
    • Optimise production runs in relation to changeovers, waste, labour and raw material
    • Download stocks, sales and demand data to validate current position
    • Make daily amends to plan as required
    • Re-plan and issue to factory both immediate and forward plans
    • Deal with availability issues that might impact on schedule and identify options and solutions
    • Ensure all raw materials / consumables are in the right place at the right time to achieve plan

  • Engineering Manager, Food Ingredients Division, Cheshire, UK

    To drive engineering support and the highest standards, we have an opportunity for an experienced Engineering Manager to ensure building, plant and equipment is serviced, maintained and operationally safe.  As a member of the site management team, you will have accountability for facilities and standards including control of contractors and permits to work.

    DFI Crewe formats 18,000t grated and sliced cheese annually. With significant investment into both production areas, robust engineering support is vital to minimise downtime, enhance machine performance and improve efficiencies. We pride ourselves on our BRC AA Grade and ISO 14001 standards which we retain through maintenance of our site policies and strict adherence to H&S.

    Key Responsibilities include:

    Ö        Develop and implement a PPM schedule to ensure plant and equipment is fit for purpose

    Ö        Develop and drive a programme of TPM that supports efficiency gains and up-skills colleagues

    Ö        Monitor and manage daily priorities of team of Shift Engineers ensuring breakdown issues are resolved quickly and cost effectively
