    Group Financial Accountant

    This full time permanent role is based in Mitchelstown, Co. Cork reporting to the Group Finance Manager. The Group Financial Accountant will provide financial support and direction as part of the Group Finance Function and have responsibility for reporting consolidated management accounts, board reports and other information.

     

    Core responsibilities for this role include:

    • Preparation of consolidated monthly management accounts and board report.
    • Preparation of consolidated annual financial statements and annual report for Dairygold Co-Operative Society Limited & Subsidiaries.
    • Preparation of statutory accounts for Dairygold Irish and International legal entities.
    • Review and management of balance sheet account reconciliations.
    • Review monthly financial submissions received from various divisions.
    • Preparation of cash flow projections, forecasts and capital expenditure reports by various divisions.
    • Preparation of the Group budget and the Society consolidated budget.
    • Responsible for VAT and CT filings and liaising with tax advisors.
    • Liaise with internal and external audit teams.
    • Responsible for Dairygold Co-Operative Society insurance renewal and costing of same.

  • Dairy Operator, Food Ingredients Division, Mitchelstown, Co.Cork

    Dairygold Co-Operative Society Limited is now pleased to invite applications for the position of Dairy Operator, based in, Castlefarm, Mitchelstown. This role is available on a night shift basis only.

    Core responsibilities for this role include:
    • Through use of Scada system carry out operations of Milk Intake/ Separation/Cream Storage/ Cream offload/CIPS
    • Set up milk intake lines into destination silos;
    • Monitor temperature of milk incoming from milk tankers;
    • Maintain visual checks to ensure no leaks, product losses or overflowing throughout the plant;
    • Sample and test whole milk for fat, protein and total solids;
    • Set up, control and monitor milk flows, temperature and pressure differentials through pasteurisers and separators;
    • Check flow diversion daily on pasteurisers and sign charts;
    • Responsible for control and monitoring of fat levels / acidities on whole milk, skim and cream;
    • Set up, monitor cream flows, temperature through cooler and set up destination cream storage silo as required;
    • Sample and test skim milk for antibiotics, acidity, fat, protein and total solids;
    • Ensure that all CIP stations are maintained to the required tank levels, detergent strengths and temperatures;
    • Service tanker CIP tanks and bays i.e. hoses / detergents etc.
    • CIP milk lines, skim lines, cream lines, condensate lines, whole milk silos, skim milk silos, cream silos, condensate silos, vitamin tanks, pasteurisers, seperators and cream coolers, as per instructions set down and maintaining requirements of detergent strength, temperature and time;
    • Load cream / skim milk to tankers as required;
    • Add lactose and or permeate to pasteurised product as required;
    • Standardise the whole milk re fat and protein and test for antibiotics, acidity, fat, protein, and total solids to ensure that the WMP is manufactured to specification required;
    • Add vitamins / antioxidants to pasteurised product as required;
    • Log process parameters and maintain records;
    • Record all test results and running conditions of plants;

    • Liaise with casein and niro 3 operators re availability of milk;
    • Liaise with maintenance personnel to plan and carry out repairs to minimise breakdowns;

    Reporting to the Site Manager, the Shift Manager will work with the Production Managers and Site Management team to achieve Site targets and meet and exceed customer expectations.     Reporting to the Lab Manager, the Laboratory Technician is responsible for the timely completion of testing samples ensuring accurate results are returned to the operations and quality functions to enable compliance with food safety, legal and customer requirements. The lab provides support to production 24/7 so the lab technician will participate in a shift rota that includes night shifts and weekend shifts.

    Core responsibilities for this role include:

    • Carry out chemical/ microbiological analysis as per relevant plans for In Process samples.
    • Take In Process samples when required.
    • Attend Weekly VM meetings.
    • Chair weekly VM meetings as required.

  • QC Sample Management Technician, Food Ingredients Division, Mitchelstown, Co.Cork

    Dairygold Co-Operative Society Limited is now pleased to invite applications for the positions of QC Sample Management Technician, in our Central Laboratory in Mitchelstown within the Dairy Food Ingredients Division.

    Purpose; Reporting to the Central Lab Manager, the Sample Management Technician is responsible for the integrity of samples transported between Production facilities and the lab, thus ensuring accurate results are reported to the operations and quality functions to enable compliance with food safety, legal and customer requirements.

    Key Responsibilities;

    • Organisation and transport of in process and finished product samples to and from production sites and the laboratories
    • Liaising with contracted couriers on sample integrity
    • Responsible for sample integrity from site to lab including chain of custody for temperature dependant samples
    • Aseptic handling of samples
    • Attend weekly VM team meetings
    • Participate in continual quality improvement and problem resolution.
