  • Product Release Officer , Food Ingredients Division, Mallow, Co. Cork

    The Product Release Officer is responsible for release and certification of all finished product at the Mallow site, in accordance with regulatory, customer and QMS requirements. The Product Release Officer is a key support role to the site QA Manager. The key role of the Product Release Officer is to release finished product to defined schedules and establish and maintain the status of finished product on the Oracle – ERP system.

    Core responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:

    • Ensure Finished Product sku’s are tested as per defined test plans.
    • Release Finished Product as per regulatory, customer and QMS requirements.
    • Maintain status of stock on Oracle system to reflect its quality and suitable & generate batch release records.
    • Certification of finished product to accompany shipments in a timely manner.
    • Data trending and reporting as required for decision making.
    • In put on decision making re process capability for specification sign off.

     

     Candidates for this position must possess:

    • Third level qualification in a relevant discipline (Food Science, Technology, Engineering);
    • 2 – 5 years’ experience in a QA food manufacturing environment at FSSC 22000 standard as a minimum;
    • Strong interpersonal & communication skills;
    • Be a team Player;
    • Performance driven with a proven ability to work on own initiative;
    • A positive, can-do, resilient and flexible attitude;
    • Good organization and planning skills;
    • Ability to work with high level of accuracy;
    • Computer literate – ideally OBIEE reporting, Oracle and Excel;
    • Good decision-making skills and strong technical acumen with the capacity to effectively troubleshoot issues.

  • Area Sales Manager,Agri Division, Muskerry Region, Co.Cork

    Due to significant growth in our Agri Business Division we are delighted to invite applications for the vacancy of Area Sales Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective management of a designated Sales Area in the Muskerry Region providing sales advice, support and technical knowledge to Dairygold Agri Business customers.

     The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

    • Managing and growing our existing customer base. Introducing new products and services.
    • Providing technical support and back-up to our customers including animal nutrition, soil & fertiliser plans and the roll out of new technology to improve our members’ incomes.
    • Provide input into the Agri Business Division Strategy during an exciting time in the industry.

    Applicants for this position must:

    • Have a B.Agr.Sc degree.
    • Have 5+ years’ experience in a similar role: advisory, sales/inside sales and/or customer service.
    • Possess in depth knowledge of all aspects of best practice farming methods.

  • Group Financial Accountant, Group, Mitchelstown, Co. Cork

    We are seeking to hire an experienced professional for the position of:

    Group Financial Accountant

    This full time permanent role is based in Mitchelstown, Co. Cork reporting to the Group Finance Manager. The Group Financial Accountant will provide financial support and direction as part of the Group Finance Function and have responsibility for reporting consolidated management accounts, board reports and other information.

     

    Core responsibilities for this role include:

    • Preparation of consolidated monthly management accounts and board report.
    • Preparation of consolidated annual financial statements and annual report for Dairygold Co-Operative Society Limited & Subsidiaries.
    • Preparation of statutory accounts for Dairygold Irish and International legal entities.
    • Review and management of balance sheet account reconciliations.
    • Review monthly financial submissions received from various divisions.
    • Preparation of cash flow projections, forecasts and capital expenditure reports by various divisions.
    • Preparation of the Group budget and the Society consolidated budget.
    • Responsible for VAT and CT filings and liaising with tax advisors.
    • Liaise with internal and external audit teams.
    • Responsible for Dairygold Co-Operative Society insurance renewal and costing of same.
    • Supporting Heads of Functions with departmental costings.
    • Preparation & review of Group Finance policies & procedures.
    • Contribute to ongoing improvement of group wide controls and processes.
    • Assisting in adhoc reports and project work as required.

    Applications for this position must have:

    • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA & CIMA) with a minimum of 5 years PQE.
    • Consolidation experience.
    • Excellent IT/financial systems experience.
    • Advanced proficiency in MS Office.
    • Self-motivated with excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).

  • Engineering Manager, Food Ingredients Division, Leeds, United Kingdom

    As the number one cheese ingredient solutions supplier to the UK’s major food manufacturers, retailers and food service customers DFI UK have achieved rapid, double digit growth over the last five years and have ambitious plans for this to continue.

    DFI Leeds is a highly automated manufacturing facility producing 9,000t soft and cultured dairy products annually. With a sophisticated SCADA operating system and significant investment into our plant machinery, robust engineering support is vital to minimise downtime, enhance performance and improve efficiencies. We pride ourselves on our BRC A Grade and ISO 14001 standards which we retain through maintenance of our site policies and strict adherence to Health & Safety requirements.

    To drive this engineering support and continue to develop our high standards, we now have an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Manager. Reporting into the Operations Manager, this role will manage the Engineering team to ensure that building, plant and equipment is serviced, maintained and operationally safe. The role holder will be a key member of the site management team, with full accountability for the site’s facilities and Health & Safety standards including control of contractors and permits to work.

    Key Responsibilities will include:

    • Develop and implement a PPM schedule to ensure all plant and equipment is fit for purpose
    • Develop and drive a programme of TPM that supports efficiency gains and up-skills colleagues
    • Monitor and manage daily priorities of team of Shift Engineers
    • Monitor and ensure breakdown issues are resolved as quickly and cost effectively as possible
    • Record all weekly downtime, monitoring machine issues and closing out corrective actions
    • Control contractors, completing permits and observing insurance and H&S requirements
    • Maintain, update and communicate relevant Engineering policies and procedures
    • Forecast annual budget for engineering and manage activity and stock levels within budget Work closely with Shift Engineers and production to support with machine training
    • Support capital investment projects and project manage defined projects as required
    • Continually assess and identify improvement initiatives to support engineering development

    Who are we looking for?

    You will have significant post apprenticeship experience, ideally gained in food manufacturing and supported by BTEC or C&G qualification in an appropriate discipline (Electrical Systems, Electrical Control, Faultfinding and Mechanical Engineering). You’ll also have experience of developing a programme of TPM and will be able to demonstrate an understanding of lean manufacturing and CI.

    A clear and professional communicator with experience of successfully managing a shift team, you will be proactive in upskilling colleagues to optimise machine performance. You will demonstrate enthusiasm and forward planning skills with a drive to resolve problems quickly and efficiently. With a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, you’ll be comfortable recording and analysing data to present to peers and senior colleagues to drive improvements on site.

  • Agri Manager, Retail Division, Dairygold Co-op Superstores, Mallow, Co. Cork

    The Society wishes to invite applications for the upcoming opportunity of Agri Manager, Mallow. Applications are invited from experienced retail professionals with a proven track record of achievement in a busy Agri trading environment, with proven ability in the management of retail sales, costs and all associated activities. This is a full supervisory role including keyholder duties & all activities related to overall site management. The successful candidate will proactively support the Branch Manager in the day-to-day overall operations of the site in order to deliver on agreed objectives.

    Responsibilities for the successful candidate will include, but are not limited to, the following:

    • Control and analyse sales performance for the Agri section against budget so that store targets and Key Performance Indicators are met and exceeded.
    • Lead a motivated, engaged & enabled sales team within the Agri section.

    The successful candidate will have:

    • A proven track record in Agri and Hardware retailing, preferably with previous people management experience.
    • Strong Agri product knowledge is a prerequisite for this role, a relevant qualification is beneficial but not essential.
    • A proven track record of delivering an excellent customer experience with an understanding of how this drives sales and affects the bottom line.
    • A keen understanding of our business with strong commercial awareness / business acumen.
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication, people management and leadership skills.
    • Strong organisational, planning & time management skills with excellent attention to detail.
    • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-moving environment.
