  • Occupational Health Nurse, Mitchelstown, Co.Cork Ireland



    The Society wishes to invite applications for the vacancy of Occupational Health Nurse. This role is based in Mitchelstown and reports directly to the Group  Head of Human Resources.  The successful candidate will provide a comprehensive range of Occupational health services to Dairygold employees.  This is a specialised professional role with a strong focus on promoting employee health and wellbeing.  The successful candidate will work as part of the the HR team in the delivery of Occupational health services to employees.

    The role will include the following duties and responsibilities :

    • Coordination of Health Surveillance Programmes including pre employment medicals, health screening, risk assesments and vaccination clinics.
    • Ongoing review of Occupational health policies and procedures in line with legisalation and best practice.
    • Working closely with the Business and divisional HR teams to proactively manage absenteeism on a case by case basis.
    • Proactive follow up with management of accidents at work and long term absenteeism cases.
    • Co-ordinate the successful delivery of health promotion initiatives to promote employee wellbeing in the workplace.
    • Liaising with employees and GPs to progress timely return to work initiatives in line with professional medical advice.
    • Coordinate completion of VDU Ergonomics programme and assessments.

    The successful candidate should have:

  • Factory Planner, Food Ingredients Division, Cheshire, UK

    DFI UK are now actively recruiting for a Factory Planner.  With a £80m+ spend on raw materials and 400t of factory production capability, effective forecasting, planning and scheduling are paramount at DFI Crewe. With over 300 SKUS across 7 production lines, ensuring the right product is available and produced to meet customer expectations is essential.

    Reporting to the Planning Manager, as one of two Factory Planners working rotating shifts (6am-3pm / 1pm-10pm Monday to Friday) you will be responsible for preparing daily and weekly production schedules.  Working closely with all Operational departments you will keep abreast of orders and amends, raw material availability, production progress and transport to ultimately deliver on time in full to our valued customers.

    Key activities will include:

    • Prepare daily and weekly production schedules
    • Optimise production runs in relation to changeovers, waste, labour and raw material
    • Download stocks, sales and demand data to validate current position
    • Make daily amends to plan as required
    • Re-plan and issue to factory both immediate and forward plans
    • Deal with availability issues that might impact on schedule and identify options and solutions
    • Ensure all raw materials / consumables are in the right place at the right time to achieve plan

    Who are we looking for?

    You will already have scheduling or production planning experience within a high volume FMCG environment, and some understanding of materials planning.  With excellent attention to detail you will work confidently with data to consider all variables in producing production and raw material.  You will have advanced Excel knowledge and great analytical skills to enable you to quickly interpret data and information.

    To drive engineering support and the highest standards, we have an opportunity for an experienced Engineering Manager to ensure building, plant and equipment is serviced, maintained and operationally safe.  As a member of the site management team, you will have accountability for facilities and standards including control of contractors and permits to work.

    DFI Crewe formats 18,000t grated and sliced cheese annually.     Reporting to the Head of Engineering, this newly created position will assume leading responsibility for driving high standard of efficiency across multiple projects using best practice project management techniques on capital investment and process improvement projects across Dairygold’s 4 key manufacturing sites, based in Mitchelstown, Mogeely and Mallow. The successful applicant will be required to work closely with the Site teams across the DFI business to deliver the identified targets. This person will be a core part of the engineering team, liaising directly with both internal and external parties on associated aspects of the business.


    Core responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:

    • Deliver projects within budget, schedule & specification while adhering to site safety rules and the required standard.
    • Effective management of payback analysis, scheduling & cost control.
    • Support Line managers and cross functional teams to identify key areas for improvement within their area.
