  • Agri Business Commerical Sales Lead, Agri Business Division, Lombardstown Mill, Lombardstown, Co. Cork

    The Society wishes to invite applications for the vacancy of Agri Business Commercial Sales Lead. This new position will be responsible for growing sales in conjunction with field- based team through proactive engagement and providing sales advice, support and technical knowledge to Dairygold Agribusiness customers.

    The new position will have key responsibility for communication across a core group of customers and for the development of CRM across the business. Based in Lombardstown this position will report directly to the inside Sales and Marketing Team Leader.

     Responsibilities for the successful candidate will include, but are not limited to, the following:

    Sales

    • Managing sales and customer relationships and reporting for a core customer group
    • Achieve sales targets in conjunction with field sales teams – budgets provided across feed, fertiliser and farm requisites through active campaign management and reporting.
    • Analyse and evaluate sales trends across Agri operations to identify gaps and potential for new business sales.

    CRM

    • Lead and support the ongoing implementation and training of CRM functionality.
    • Develop team’s proficiency in campaign management and reporting including market share.
    • Develop and report relevant CRM reporting suites for managers in the business.
    • Proactively lead and manage the customer feedback process across the business.
    • Ensure all CRM activities are prioritised, co- ordinated and tracked.

    Planning

    • Participate in the development of strategies for the further expansion of sales of the widest possible range of company products to all existing and potential customers.

    Communicating

    • Keep up to date with all developments and innovations relating to issues on milk supply, grain, new regulations, rules and procedures which will impact relations between milk supplier, grain suppliers, shareholders and the business.

    The successful candidate will have:

    • A 3rd level qualification in a relevant discipline, Construction/Agri/Procurement/Business/Retail
    • IT Savvy, experience with system of CRM an advantage

  • Administrator(Part-Time)/Dairygold Quality Feeds/Lombardstown Mill/Lombardstown/ Co.Cork

    Applications are invited from energetic and ambitious persons who wish to be part of a professional team that is committed to the delivery of the highest quality service. The successful candidate will be based in Dairygold Agri-Business Centre, Lombardstown, Co. Cork and report to the Administration Manager. The hours of work will be evenings 6 -10 pm, Monday to Friday.

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following:

    • Handling on-site and telephone customer orders and queries.
    • Weighbridge operations.
    • Stock counts of bagged feed.
    • Water sampling.
    • Filing and administration of all relevant documentation in a timely manner.
    • Reconciliation of sales orders and finished product information.
    • Processing grain-related information as required.

      • Possess a relevant Business Administration qualification – desirable.
      • 2+ relevant experience in a fast paced office environment.

  • Office Manager - Germany

    Dairygold Co-Operative Society Limited is now pleased to invite applications for the position of Office Manager – Dairygold Deutschland Handels GmbH based in Mainz, Germany. This position will ensure that the GmbH operates in accordance with all relevant statutory regulations, best practice Corporate Governance and Dairygolds’ internal policies and procedures. It will be a key supporting role for our Commercial, Finance and Human Resource Functions.

    Core responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:

    • Support the Commercial Finance Lead in the day-to-day Accounting requirements of GmbH
    • Assist in the preparation and supply of financial information for month-end reporting and audits
    • Implementation and maintenance of Dairygold policies and procedures in line with Group & German authorities’ guidelines for DFI Germany

  • Quality Assurance Manager – DFI Germany

    Dairygold Co-Operative Society Limited is now pleased to invite applications for the position of Quality Assurance Manager – Dairygold Deutschland Handels GmbH

    This newly created role will have a dual reporting role to the Country Manager of our German Business and our Head of Group Regulatory & Compliance. This role will entail working closely with the Dairygold German Commercial, Business Development and Supply Chain Management teams to develop a Quality Management System spanning procurement, warehousing, transport, manufacturing arrangements, labelling and regulatory requirements.

    The purpose of this role is to build a Quality Management System and drive a culture of Quality Assurance and Risk Management for our German business and will also cover regulatory and customer compliance. This role will involve travelling & liaising with management teams in the Irish based processing facilities and with customer visits.

    Core responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:

      • Build a Quality Management System for our German Business to ensure compliance with FSSC 22000 or International Food Standards.
      • In conjunction with the Group Supplier Quality Lead (DFI) and procurement, maintain specifications (ingredients, primary packaging, chemicals and detergents) supplied by the supplier or generated by Dairygold. These must include food safety requirements, technical attributes, product declarations and legal requirements
      • Implement DFI policy and procedures for procurement including supplier approval including SAQ’s, supplier performance monitoring and evaluation and risk assessments (TACCP).
      • Develop and maintain a supplier audit schedule based on risk assessments of supply base
      • Define policies, procedures and SLA’s with 3rd party manufacturers – covering all aspects of the arrangement from end to end and clearly outlining the quality & regulatory expectations of Dairygold
      • Audit all 3rd party manufacturing providers, including specification agreement, facility audits and their system for monitoring product compliance
      • Assist in problem solving by providing direction and guidance in the resolution of technical and quality issues in supply chain
      • Investigate all customer complaints and ensure DFI complaints procedure is implemented.

     ESSENTIAL SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS 

    • Third level degree qualification in a food science or microbiology or related discipline.
    • 5+ years’ experience as a Quality Assurance Manager position or a similar role.
    • Fluent German & English language
    • Previous experience beneficial with drafting and management of product input specifications.
    • Good working Knowledge of food safety standards i.e. BRC, FSSC22000, Tesco etc.
    • Practical experience of implementing those standards and leading those audits
    • IRCA certified lead auditor desired but not essential
    • Strong attention to detail and concern for standards with a keen result orientation.
    • Strong Problem solving and analytical skills; and project management skills
    • Well-developed interpersonal skills with the proven ability to work in teams and to relate to colleagues, managers, suppliers, customers and external agencies alike.
    • Ability to develop credibility in the business and challenge the status quo
    • Strong IT skills – power point, excel and word.

  • Engineering Manager, Food Ingredients Division, Leeds, United Kingdom

    As the number one cheese ingredient solutions supplier to the UK’s major food manufacturers, retailers and food service customers DFI UK have achieved rapid, double digit growth over the last five years and have ambitious plans for this to continue.

    DFI Leeds is a highly automated manufacturing facility producing 9,000t soft and cultured dairy products annually. With a sophisticated SCADA operating system and significant investment into our plant machinery, robust engineering support is vital to minimise downtime, enhance performance and improve efficiencies. We pride ourselves on our BRC A Grade and ISO 14001 standards which we retain through maintenance of our site policies and strict adherence to Health & Safety requirements.

    To drive this engineering support and continue to develop our high standards, we now have an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Manager. Reporting into the Operations Manager, this role will manage the Engineering team to ensure that building, plant and equipment is serviced, maintained and operationally safe. The role holder will be a key member of the site management team, with full accountability for the site’s facilities and Health & Safety standards including control of contractors and permits to work.

    Key Responsibilities will include:

    • Develop and implement a PPM schedule to ensure all plant and equipment is fit for purpose
    • Develop and drive a programme of TPM that supports efficiency gains and up-skills colleagues
    • Monitor and manage daily priorities of team of Shift Engineers
    • Monitor and ensure breakdown issues are resolved as quickly and cost effectively as possible
    • Record all weekly downtime, monitoring machine issues and closing out corrective actions
    • Control contractors, completing permits and observing insurance and H&S requirements
    • Maintain, update and communicate relevant Engineering policies and procedures
    • Forecast annual budget for engineering and manage activity and stock levels within budget Work closely with Shift Engineers and production to support with machine training
    • Support capital investment projects and project manage defined projects as required
    • Continually assess and identify improvement initiatives to support engineering development

    Who are we looking for?

    You will have significant post apprenticeship experience, ideally gained in food manufacturing and supported by BTEC or C&G qualification in an appropriate discipline (Electrical Systems, Electrical Control, Faultfinding and Mechanical Engineering). You’ll also have experience of developing a programme of TPM and will be able to demonstrate an understanding of lean manufacturing and CI.

    A clear and professional communicator with experience of successfully managing a shift team, you will be proactive in upskilling colleagues to optimise machine performance. You will demonstrate enthusiasm and forward planning skills with a drive to resolve problems quickly and efficiently. With a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, you’ll be comfortable recording and analysing data to present to peers and senior colleagues to drive improvements on site.
