  • Process Engineer (x2), Food Ingredients Divisiion, Co. Cork

    Dairygold Co-Operative Society Limited is now pleased to invite applications for the position of Process Engineer (x2).

     

    Reporting to the Head of Engineering, this newly created position will assume leading responsibility for driving high standard of efficiency across multiple projects using best practice project management techniques on capital investment and process improvement projects across Dairygold’s 4 key manufacturing sites, based in Mitchelstown, Mogeely and Mallow. The successful applicant will be required to work closely with the Site teams across the DFI business to deliver the identified targets. This person will be a core part of the engineering team, liaising directly with both internal and external parties on associated aspects of the business.

     

    Core responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:

    • Deliver projects within budget, schedule & specification while adhering to site safety rules and the required standard.
    • Effective management of payback analysis, scheduling & cost control.
    • Support Line managers and cross functional teams to identify key areas for improvement within their area.
    • Define and develop detailed project scopes through stakeholder meetings;
    • Co-ordinate all project activities including estimating, design, specification, sourcing, purchasing, construction and commissioning activities;
    • While focusing on energy (gas and electricity), water and other site utilities at plant level, monitor performance and identify and lead projects to deliver savings and achieve site KPIs.
    • Tendering and bid analysis for equipment & contracts.
    • Project Management for the site related projects;
    • Effective management of contractors on site;
    •  Updating and maintaining process & utility system P&ID’s, engineering specifications & standards;
    • Identify payback projects and complete the required submission for consideration for capex;
    • Secure buy-in from the Site & Senior Leadership team and key stakeholders;
    • Adherence to H&S requirements in the execution of your duties;
    •  Application of appropriate continuous improvement tools;
    •  Participation in special projects as required.

    Candidates for this position must possess:

    • 5+ years’ experience in a similar role
    • Third level qualification in a relevant discipline (Process, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering)

  • Asset Care Planner / Scheduler, Food Ingredients Division, Clonmel Rd, Mitchelstown, Co. Cork

    Reporting to the Site Maintenance Manager, He/She will focus on implementing an Asset Care Program that is in line with the needs of the Clonmel Rd Cheddar Site and all the associated facilities and utilities.

    Core responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to: 

    • Planning, organising, managing and developing key resources within the Asset Care Team to create and sustain a high-performance work team to drive overall plant performance;
    • Manages Weekly Planning Meeting for the site.

    • Responsible for controlling the maintenance work within the Computerised Maintenance Management system

  • Production Co-ordinator, Food Ingredients Division, Castlefarm, Mitchelstown, Co. Cork

    Dairygold Co-Operative Society Limited is now pleased to invite applications for the position of Milk Production Co-ordinator.

    Based in Castlefarm, the Milk Production Co-ordinator will report to the Milk Plant Lead to achieve site targets and meet and exceed customer expectations. He/She will co-ordinate and control all day-to-day activities required to ensure the targets associated with the efficient operations of the production processes are met. This person will be a core part of the Castlefarm management team, liaising directly with both internal and external stakeholders on all associated aspects of the business.

    Core responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:

    • Production Planning, Scheduling & Organisation of key resources and materials to drive the milk plant performance and meet production targets and maximise outputs;
    • Lead and manage operations personnel ensuring that the required level and types of training are provided to all the individuals to equip them to drive overall plant performance;

    Reporting to the Site Manager, the Shift Manager will work with the Production Manager and Site Management team to achieve Site targets and meet and exceed customer expectations.     • Site point of contact for customer visits and audits (including internal audits)

    Reporting to the Lab Manager, the QC Powder Project Technician is responsible for the timely completion of testing samples ensuring accurate results are returned to the operations and quality functions to enable compliance with food safety, legal and customer requirements.

    Core responsibilities for this role include:

    • Carry out chemical analysis as per relevant plans for finished product samples.
    • Attend Weekly VM meetings.
    • Maintain & run current & new Laboratory/ Production equipment.

  • IT Support Engineer, Mitchelstown, Co. Cork Ireland

    IT Support Engineer

    Dairygold Co-Operative Society Limited, Irelands leading farmer owned Dairy and Agri Co-Operative, generates a turnover of c. €756m and employs 1,150 people across its business activities in Ireland, UK and Mainland EU. Dairygold is seeking a talented, end user focused IT Support Engineer to join our IT technology team based in Mitchelstown. Reporting to the Technology Manager, the IT Support Engineer will form part of the Servicedesk support team and be involved in technology projects as required. The service desk covers Level 1 and Level 2 support activities and the successful candidate will spend time working on both.

     

    This is a hybrid role where the candidate will spend some of their time providing repeatable, high quality customer service to the Dairygold business end users by ensuring the timely resolution of issues, problems and requests. This will spend the remainder of their time involved in providing proactive management of existing infrastructure to ensure Dairygold’s systems availability and quality goals are met. As part of a diverse multi-functional team, the right candidate will be given the opportunity to showcase their current expertise, and build on it by gaining experience in other technological areas managed by the Dairygold team

     

    The role will include but will not be limited to the following:

    • Hands on experience in security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, authentication systems, log management, content filtering is essential. Knowledge of SIEM, firewall technologies and intrusion detection systems would be an advantage

    • Experience with administration of Cloud Hosted environments, ensuring optimised configuration, extending and managing Storage allocation on a daily basis is desirable

    Dairygold are delighted to announce that we are currently seeking applicants for 7 Seasonal General Operator positions in our Production Facility in Mogeely, Co. Cork.

     

    The ideal candidates will possess the following skills:

     

    • Be customer focused with a proven track record of striving to meet customer requirements;
    • Have experience of operating in a Cheese Production Process and/or a similar manufacturing facility;
    • Be capable of working on their own initiative;
    • Require strong attention to detail for record-keeping & for actively monitoring the process & responding proactively to any issues that arise;
    • Be quality-orientated with a focus on RFT and compliance with hygiene, 5S, HACCP and other quality related standards;
    • Be capable of carrying out manual handling activities of lifting, rotating & lowering of objects;
    • Have the aptitude to work in a highly regulated environment;
    • Have the ability to liaise effectively with colleagues and Shift Managers.

    The role may involve shift & weekend work.
