    Retail Sales Assistants, Retail Division, Ireland

    Dairygold Co-Op Superstores is a leading supplier of hardware, homewares and farm inputs in the Munster region, providing customers with quality, competitively priced products & unrivalled service.

    We are seeking to hire experienced retail professionals for the following positions:

    • Mitchelstown: Retail Sales Assistant – Flexible Contract-One Day Per Week (Saturday)
    • Fermoy: Retail Sales Assistant – Permanent Contract- 39 Hours Per Week
    • Mallow: Retail Sales Assistant – Flexible Contract -15-39 Hours Per Week
    • Mid Cork Region: Relief Retail Sales Assistant – Permanent Contract- 39 Hours Per Week

    The successful candidate will be reporting to the respective Retail Branch Manager. The Retail Sales Assistant will work as part of a cohesive team to achieve maximum sales through the delivery of excellent customer service.

    Core responsibilities for this role include:

    • Deliver best in class service to our customers through excellent service and knowledge of our products.
    • Prompt dealings with all customer queries including telephone queries, in an efficient and professional manner.
    • Provide advice on products with a continual view to maximising sales through upselling and cross selling.
    • Restock display areas on a regular basis to ensure product availability at all times.
    • Ensure branch and displays are clean, full stocked and free from hazards at all times.
    • Manage point of sale processes, including register operations, receiving and processing of cash and credit transactions.
    • Operate procedures for security of cash and merchandise in accordance with the policies and procedures set down by Co-Op Superstores.
    • Participate in regular stock taking including daily cycle counting and stock counts.
    • Ability to work across a range of departments.
    • Product coding, pricing and updating of prices on goods for re-sales.
    • Adherence to all Society policies & procedures, Health & Safety procedures and reporting of any hazards to the Branch Management.
    • Maintenance of departments to ensure high standards of presentation and cleanliness i.e. shop floor, garden centre and display areas.

    Candidates for this position should have:

    • Previous experience in the hardware, agri or retail trade is essential.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Ability to work on own initiative.
    • Customer focused, organised and efficient.

    Branch Manager Co-Op SuperStores – Midleton

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following:

    • Delivering sales and cost targets and consequently outperforming targets by leading a motivated, engaged and enabled team while recognizing individuals and teams.
    • Meet and exceed sales goals daily, monthly, and annually by analysing key business metrics and creating action plans to achieve / surpass budget performance.
    • Sets daily, weekly and monthly goals/tasks for the store and the store team and ensuring these goals/tasks are achieved and completed.
    • Ensure all operational responsibilities are carried out in line with Society policies and procedures including but not limited to: opening and closing procedures, inventory control, cash control, goods receiving, merchandising, loss prevention and customer service.
    • Ensure all other Policies & Procedures of the Society are strictly adhered to.
    • Pro-actively exploit all opportunities to sell our range of merchandise.
    • Update yourself on matters concerning our competitiveness in the marketplace.
    • Ensure the efficient and cost effective delivery of service to maximise sales.
    • Take the lead role in the development of strategies for the further expansion of sales of Society products to all existing and potential customers.
    • Optimisation of product ranging and stocking, engaging with appropriate HQ personnel.
    • Have strong and consistent communication among store team / Area Manager by communicating all relevant business information to the team in a timely manner and interacting transparently with the Area Manager.
    • Lead by example in terms of Health & Safety in all aspects of managing the branch with regard to minimising risks and hazards.
    • Full supervisory responsibilities focusing on the leadership of people in all work activities.

    We are seeking to hire two professionals for the part- time positions of:

    EDIY Technician  – Locations: Limerick and Blarney/ Whitechurch

    The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:

    • Scheduling and timely delivery of recording equipment (meters, data handlers, vials etc.) to DIY farmers within the Limerick and Cork area.
    • Uploading and downloading of data to database in line with schedules to ensure turnaround times are at a minimum.
    • Providing professional training and support to DIY farmers on use of equipment, ensuring that any problems are dealt with expeditiously and to the customers’ satisfaction.
    • Actively promoting DIY Milk Recording in your region.
