    Dairygold Co-Operative Society Limited is currently seeking a candidate to join our Internal Audit Team for maternity cover, reporting to the Head of Internal Audit.
    This role is based in Mitchelstown, Co Cork.
    Summary:

    This is an excellent opportunity for those wishing to pursue a career in industry. As an Internal Auditor you will gain exposure to the many different types of businesses within Dairygold. You will have the opportunity to work regularly with senior management, recommend improvements to Dairygold processes and systems and get invaluable exposure to corporate governance and risk management.

    The role will include but will not be limited to the following:

    • Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls
    • Individually, or working as part of a team, carry out strategic, operational and compliance audits
    • Develop audit scopes and programs
    • Conduct internal audits to assess the adequacy, effectiveness and efficiency of internal controls and procedures
    • Design and perform audit procedures and prepare working papers
    • Recommending improvements for the effectiveness of controls and governance processes
    • Preparing audit reports and presenting audit findings and recommendations to auditees and senior management
    • Monitor the timely implementation of the management actions recommended
    • Identify key areas of risk within the organisation and propose appropriate controls to mitigate the risks.

    The successful candidate should have:

  • Finance Accountant, Mitchelstown, Cork, Ireland.

    This full time permanent role is based in Mitchelstown reporting to the Group Finance Manager. The Financial Accountant will provide financial support and direction to the Group Function and have responsibility for reporting consolidated management accounts, board reports and other information.

     

    Core responsibilities for this role include:

    • Preparation of monthly consolidated management accounts and board report.
    • Preparation of annual consolidated financial statements and annual report for Dairygold Co-Operative Society Limited.
    • Preparation of statutory accounts for a number of Irish and International legal entities.

  • Sustainability Officer, Mitchelstown, Cork, Ireland

    Reporting to the Head of Sustainability this role will support and develop the business sustainability strategy and programme across the entire Dairygold business including Food Ingredients, Agri and Retail.

     

    Core responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:

    • Developing sustainability metrics reporting system for carbon, water, waste, etc.
    • Developing sustainability communications through internal and external channels
    • Supporting farm level sustainability program through data analysis & reporting
    • Supporting annual sustainability reporting for the Origin Green program and Dairygold Annual Report
    • Supporting business green teams to implement office improvements in energy efficiency, waste recycling

  • Export Freight Co-ordinator, Food Ingredients Division, Mitchelstown, Cork, Ireland

    Dairygold Co-Operative Society Limited is now pleased to invite applications for the position of Export Freight Co-ordinator.

    Reporting to the DFI Shipping Manager the purpose of the role is to support , develop and build on the export capability within the business, optimising the entire supply chain for the delivery of value to Dairygold and the customer by identifying and delivering significant tangible improvements in process performance.

    Core responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:

    • Assist in the Purchase of Export Freight covering the movement of DFI product on the export market.
        • Book & Manage transport on a weekly basis for all areas of the Export Freight business
    • Work with Credit Control Department, statutory authorities, internal and external warehousing, Quality along with individual Supply Chain Administrators to prepare the weekly plans for dispatch of goods.

  • Lead Buyer, Food Ingredients Division, Mitchelstown, Cork, Ireland

    Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain, the DFI Lead Buyer is responsible for managing the procurement of all related spend for the business. The role is based in Mitchelstown and is part of the Supply Chain team, but will involve significant cross functional interaction. The key deliverable of the role is to ensure that Dairygold achieves best value for allocated spend.

    Core responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:

    • Ensuring that the business is comprehensively supported with a consistent flow of scheduled, quality materials & services from high-performance and price-competitive supply sources;
    • Negotiating with Suppliers for the delivery of the purchasing budget and targeted savings and writing effective Supply Contracts to secure optimum purchasing outcomes
    • Ensuring that Dairygold full purchasing spend is effectively leveraged in this area;
    • Measuring key Supplier contract performance on a monthly basis across all the critical procurement parameters;
    • Identifying and presenting Value Analysis opportunities to the Business and exerting influence for change towards cost-effective substitute materials and/or alternative supply sources in a Continuous Improvement environment;
    • Working with Group & Site Management to ensure that Group-approved strategies, policies and procedures are adhered to in the procurement;

    Dairygold Co-Operative Society Limited is now pleased to invite applications for the position of EHS Co-Ordinator for our Mallow plant within the Dairy Food Ingredients Division.

     

    Reporting to the Group EHS Manager, this role will promote EHS Best practice within the Mallow plant in the DFI Division. Working closely with the Site team, the EHS Co-ordinator will drive a safe working culture for both employees and contractors and will be responsible for promoting high standards and compliance with both safety and environmental standards.

     

    Core responsibilities for this role include:

    • Provide advice and support and assist the site team in implementing current best practice across all aspects of Environmental, Health and Safety;
    • Develop and implement EH&S Policies and procedures;
    • Implement an approved audit programme on site and manage the closeout of all regulatory audit actions. Report on relevant KPIs;
    • Complete safety and environmental audits to ensure compliance;

    Reporting to the Head of QA, the Systems & Compliance Manager is responsible for defining quality standards for all stages of the process end to end, together with driving and maintaining best practice standards for site.     Reporting to, the Site Quality Manager, the Quality Officer will be responsible for maintaining and managing defined core elements of quality assurance programme for the Mallow and Castlefarm site respectively, to ensure compliance with internal standards, food safety standards and customer requirements. The key role of the Quality officer is to monitor compliance, report on metrics and improve the QMS system to meet the requirements of ISO 22000.

    Core responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:

    • Develop policies and procedures and risk assessments to meet the requirements of FSSC 22000, including HACCP and maintain in electronic format in paradigm system;
    • Co-ordinate the site audit plan and report on the close out rate for non-conformances;
    • Document sampling and testing plans for the site;
    • In conjunction with site QA Manager – lead and facilitate customer and regulatory audits;
    • Coach management and operational staff on new standards, accreditation requirements and procedures;
    • Review data from environmental plan in relation to alignment of GMP and GMP policies as required.

    Candidates for this position must possess:

    • Degree level qualification in a relevant discipline (Food Science & technology, Microbiology;
    • 2-5 years experience in a QA Food Manufacturing environment at FSSC 22000 Standard as a minimum;

    Key Responsibilities of Planning Manager Include:

    • Effective communication and implementation of daily and weekly production schedules

    Our DFI Leeds Finance team are responsible for all onsite accounting activity including weekly and monthly reports, requisition requests, invoice queries and stock reconciliations. Ensuring we have accurate and timely information is vital to ensuring that we are compliant with all reporting requirements and have visibility of business financial performance.

    An opportunity has arisen within our Finance team for a Finance Assistant to work closely with the Site Accountant to complete all key activities. You will be responsible for weekly and monthly P&L reporting for the site and will work closely with all departments to ensure accurate and timely information.

    Key Responsibilities of Finance Assistant include:

    • Complete full weekly and monthly P&L reporting including gross margin analysis and all operational expenses for the Leeds site
    • Complete weekly report for stock transactions and inventory
    • Co-ordinate and input information on weekly Finance trackers for key business statistics
    • Act as the first point of call for all invoice and price queries for all departments on site
    • Ensure accurate data is readily available to support forecasting and budgeting processes

    Who are we looking for?

    With responsibility for generating weekly and monthly reports through data downloaded from Oracle, you will have excellent IT skills and good attention to detail. You will be experienced in entering large volumes of data accurately and quickly. You will be comfortable working with numbers and have good administrative skills. Some prior experience of working within a Finance team would be advantageous.

     Engineering support is vital to ensure production downtime is minimized, machine performance is continually enhanced and improved efficiencies are achieved on the line. We now have an opportunity for a Night Shift Engineer to join the team at Crewe.

    Key Responsibilities of Night Shift Engineer will include:

    • Carry out planned preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment
    • Ensure that equipment is fit for purpose on a shift / daily basis.  Attend breakdowns as necessary, to support continuous production.  Monitor and document line downtime and breakdowns
    • Complete a robust shift handover with the alternate shift engineer and ensure critical issues are raised to minimise disruption to operational performance
    • Assist & train production with machinery problems and setup and carry out repairs to machinery
    • Control activities of contractors on site, completing permits to work and relevant documentation
    • Ensure plant and equipment is operated and operating in the correct manner in line with H&S
    • Re-order spare parts and materials as necessary to ensure that stock levels are maintained
    • Work on capital projects as required and complete all engineering activities in line with plan

     

    Who are we looking for?

    You will need significant post apprenticeship experience, ideally gained in food manufacturing and supported by BTEC or C&G qualification in an appropriate discipline (Electrical Systems, Electrical Control, Faultfinding and Mechanical Engineering).

    Some experience of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques and approaches within an engineering environment would be ideal.
