  • Asset Care Lead, Food Ingredients Division, Mitchelstown, Cork, Ireland

    Dairygold Co-Operative Society Limited is now pleased to invite applications for the position of Asset Care Lead for both our Clonmel Road & Castlefarm plants in Mitchelstown within the Dairy Food Ingredients Division.

    Reporting to the Site Asset Care Manager, the Asset Care Lead will focus on achieving Site Asset Care targets and meet and exceed required asset care standards. He/She will be required to co-ordinate and control all the activities within a craft function on a production site to meet production targets, quality, environmental, maintenance, people, H&S & cost. He/She will play an integral role in driving the Society’s asset care strategy.
    Core responsibilities for this role include:

    • Planning, organising , managing and developing key resources within the Asset Care Team to create and sustain a high performance work team to drive overall plant performance;
    • Promote a safety culture within the site and set and monitor adherence to all Environmental, Health & Safety standards and procedures;
    • Manage a team of reliability engineering & craft personnel and develop a high performance work team ensuring that the required level and types of training are provided to all the individuals to equip them to drive overall plant performance; implementing plans such as campaign shutdown maintenance & assist in development of them, manage and drive the outputs from EAM, CBMs, PMs etc.
    • Act as a point of escalation and support to the Front Line Managers within your area in resolving any people related issues;
    • Implement the Site’s people development strategy and people systems;
    • Key role in driving and implementing continuous improvement in your area and continually improve communications through effective workgroups, VM Meetings, PSEs and the utilisation of all other relevant CI tools;
    • Management of contractors on site and ensure compliance with relevant standards e.g. induction, permits etc.;
    • Implement Projects, SOPs & Policies that support the asset care strategy, business strategy and site performance.

    Candidates for this position should possess:

    • Degree level qualification in a relevant discipline (Maintenance, Engineering, Asset Strategy)/Trade qualified (Mechanical/Electrical);

    Mallow & Mogeely Fitter: Dairygold Co-Operative Society Limited is now pleased to invite applications for the position of Fitter for our Mallow & Mogeely plants within the Dairy Food Ingredients Division.

     

    Reporting to the Site Asset Care Lead/Supervisor, he/she will work closely with the site and group asset care team to deliver best in class plant maintenance and improvements in line with the asset care strategy of the organisation. The fitter will have a key role to play in ensuring the site operates to the required mechanical standard

     

    Core responsibilities for the Mallow & Mogeely Fitter role include:

    • Respond to plant downtime to ensure any contributory mechanical faults are resolved in a timely manner to ensure the plant can maximize throughput;
    • Plant maintenance cover on day basis. Flexibility with covering shift and callouts also;
    • Adhere to all Environmental, Health and Safety Standards and Procedures;
    • Interrogate fault find and resolve any problems that arise on process equipment and utilities;
    • Full Utilisation of current and future Dairygold IT systems;
    • Optimise plant reliability to facilitate delivery of required volumes and deploy CI problem solving tools and techniques to address any down time issues.

  • EHS Co-Ordinator, Food Ingredients Division, Mallow, Cork, Ireland

    Dairygold Co-Operative Society Limited is now pleased to invite applications for the position of EHS Co-Ordinator for our Mallow plant within the Dairy Food Ingredients Division.

     

    Reporting to the Group EHS Manager, this role will promote EHS Best practice within the Mallow plant in the DFI Division. Working closely with the Site team, the EHS Co-ordinator will drive a safe working culture for both employees and contractors and will be responsible for promoting high standards and compliance with both safety and environmental standards.

     

    Core responsibilities for this role include:

    • Provide advice and support and assist the site team in implementing current best practice across all aspects of Environmental, Health and Safety;
    • Develop and implement EH&S Policies and procedures;
    • Implement an approved audit programme on site and manage the closeout of all regulatory audit actions. Report on relevant KPIs;
    • Complete safety and environmental audits to ensure compliance;
    • Managing EH&S risk assessments and the implementation of appropriate controls;
    • Ensure all EH&S accidents, incidents and near misses are promptly reported and thoroughly investigated;

    Based primarily in Mitchelstown but with a requirement to travel to various Warehouse locations), and reporting to the Head of Supply Chain, the DFI Warehouse Operations Manager will be a core member of the DFI Supply Chain team, liaising directly with both internal and external parties on related aspects of the business

    1. P& L responsibility for overall spend internally & externally on warehousing and capital;

    Reporting to the Head of QA, the Systems & Compliance Manager is responsible for defining quality standards for all stages of the process end to end, together with driving and maintaining best practice standards for site. He / she will be a key player in aligning the culture of the site to deliver the site master plan.

    Reporting to, the Site Quality Manager, the Quality Officer will be responsible for maintaining and managing defined core elements of quality assurance programme for the Mallow and Castlefarm site respectively, to ensure compliance with internal standards, food safety standards and customer requirements. The key role of the Quality officer is to monitor compliance, report on metrics and improve the QMS system to meet the requirements of ISO 22000.

    Core responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:

    • Develop policies and procedures and risk assessments to meet the requirements of FSSC 22000, including HACCP and maintain in electronic format in paradigm system;
    • Co-ordinate the site audit plan and report on the close out rate for non-conformances;
    • Document sampling and testing plans for the site;

    You will have demonstrable experience of working in a similar planning management role within FMCG, food.  Strong evidence of managing end-to-end supply chain activities and delivering plans in a high volume planning and forecasting environment you will be analytical, numerate and have excellent attention to detail.

    Our DFI Leeds Finance team are responsible for all onsite accounting activity including weekly and monthly reports, requisition requests, invoice queries and stock reconciliations. Ensuring we have accurate and timely information is vital to ensuring that we are compliant with all reporting requirements and have visibility of business financial performance.

    An opportunity has arisen within our Finance team for a Finance Assistant to work closely with the Site Accountant to complete all key activities. You will be responsible for weekly and monthly P&L reporting for the site and will work closely with all departments to ensure accurate and timely information.

    Key Responsibilities of Finance Assistant include:

    • Complete full weekly and monthly P&L reporting including gross margin analysis and all operational expenses for the Leeds site
    • Complete weekly report for stock transactions and inventory
    • Co-ordinate and input information on weekly Finance trackers for key business statistics
    • Act as the first point of call for all invoice and price queries for all departments on site
    • Ensure accurate data is readily available to support forecasting and budgeting processes
    • Accurately and promptly raise business requisitions
    • Ensure all goods received onto site are correctly and promptly receipted into Oracle
    • Complete all production batch closures in Oracle on a weekly basis
    • Cover Reception activities within the office, dealing with incoming calls, post collection / distribution and providing a first point of contact for designated visitors

     

    Who are we looking for?

    With responsibility for generating weekly and monthly reports through data downloaded from Oracle, you will have excellent IT skills and good attention to detail. You will be experienced in entering large volumes of data accurately and quickly. You will be comfortable working with numbers and have good administrative skills. Some prior experience of working within a Finance team would be advantageous.

    Situated in the main Reception office you will have good communication skills and present a professional approach to internal colleagues and external visitors alike. Calm and confident, you will work extremely well cross functionally and will be willing to seek information to resolve a variety of queries autonomously.

     Engineering support is vital to ensure production downtime is minimized, machine performance is continually enhanced and improved efficiencies are achieved on the line. We now have an opportunity for a Night Shift Engineer to join the team at Crewe.

    Key Responsibilities of Night Shift Engineer will include:

    • Carry out planned preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment
    • Ensure that equipment is fit for purpose on a shift / daily basis.  Attend breakdowns as necessary, to support continuous production.  Monitor and document line downtime and breakdowns
    • Complete a robust shift handover with the alternate shift engineer and ensure critical issues are raised to minimise disruption to operational performance
    • Assist & train production with machinery problems and setup and carry out repairs to machinery
    • Control activities of contractors on site, completing permits to work and relevant documentation
    • Ensure plant and equipment is operated and operating in the correct manner in line with H&S
    • Re-order spare parts and materials as necessary to ensure that stock levels are maintained
    • Work on capital projects as required and complete all engineering activities in line with plan

     

    Who are we looking for?

    You will need significant post apprenticeship experience, ideally gained in food manufacturing and supported by BTEC or C&G qualification in an appropriate discipline (Electrical Systems, Electrical Control, Faultfinding and Mechanical Engineering).

    Some experience of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques and approaches within an engineering environment would be ideal.
