Dairygold elects Chairman and Vice-Chairman

The Board of Dairygold has elected Mr Bertie O’Leary as Chairman and Mr James Lynch as Vice-Chairman at its first board meeting of the New Year, today, Wednesday, 4th January 2012.
Mr O’ Leary, a highly regarded dairy farmer, who has served on the Dairygold board since 2005 hails from the Ballyvourney area, west of Macroom in the Mid Cork region, where he has served as a Dairygold representative for over 20 years. Currently Vice-President of ICOS, and Chairman of the National Dairy Committee in ICOS, he is also a Dairygold nominee director on the Board of Reox Holdings Plc. He served as Vice Chairman in Dairygold in 2009 and 2010. Married to Joan, the O’ Leary’s have four children.
Mr James Lynch, the newly elected Vice-Chairman from Cappa, Six Mile Bridge, in County Clare, was elected to the Dairygold board in 2008 from the Limerick region. An extensive dairy farmer, Mr Lynch who has been active locally in Macra is a board member of CAHL, Co-operative Animal Health Ltd, Munster AI and ICBF, the Irish Cattle Breeders Federation. In 2004, his farm became one of Dairygold’s first monitor farms. Married to Maura, the Lynch’s have three children.
